Many of us who served in the military made it back alive, but battle deeply with invisible wounds of war, as well as cultural wounds through transition from service to civilian. In this battle for Home we often isolate, forgetting or leaving behind those sacred bonds that kept us moving forward during our military service. But we return and try to win the battle for home alone. Perhaps the deepest bond was knowing that no battle is ever won alone.
